It’s appropriate on a day where a family comes to the altar to have their young child dedicated to a life in Christ, that we read one of Jesus most famous parables: The mustard seed. The smallest seed grows into the largest tree. At least that’s what the parable tells us, but it’s not factual. We’ve got to look deeper into the mustard plant to see why it is Jesus tells us the Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed and how we can transform ourselves and our community in ways that mirror that little seed.
