We’re excited to have Jeremiah Strickin “OH JEREMIAH!” as our featured musician for the October 3rd coffeehouse. We’ve been trying to work this out for a while and we look forward to his coffeehouse debut!

Writers!

ALSO three talented writers from New Orleans will be sharing original material including:

LAURA DRAGON (author of Hurricane Boy) who will be signing copies of her work as well as PHINA SCHLOEGEL and CHERYL MATHIS (2 returning favorites).

This event is also a showcase for the Mississippi/Alabama SCBWI region as they will be holding a writers’ and illustrators’ workshop the following day on the UBC campus. For more details about the workshop, interested writers/illustrators should google SCBWI and select Mississippi/Louisiana region news for info on the workshop!

Additional Coffeehouse update: As requested, we now encourage folks to BYOF (bring your own food) to the Back Door to go along with our coffees, soft drinks, and water. Set yourself a nice table near the front!
