Saturday, January 17, the youth will travel to Shaw, MS, and partner with the youth of Northminster Baptist Church of Jackson to work with Delta Hands for Hope and the people of Shaw. Delta Hands for Hope empowers local programming for school-aged children and youth in the areas of education, recreation, health and spiritual development. Youth will be painting, building and throwing a party for the children of Shaw over this holiday weekend. We are looking forward to the meaningful relationships that will be built and continued as we partner with Delta Hands for Hope and Northminster Baptist Church.
Saturday, February 21, we will embark into the natural habitats of Hattiesburg for a geocaching adventure! Youth will search for treasure in their very own town and put their heads together to think of something precious to leave behind for the next group of explorers.
March 7-11, all youth are encouraged to join us for our church-wide Spring trip to Little Rock Arkansas. Stay tuned for more details!
Saturday, April 18, UBC youth will travel to Gulfport to experience the Center for Marine Education and Research. They will engage in fun, hands-on learning, encounter an array of sea creatures and watch a dolphin show!
Friday, May 22, the youth will set off for Northwest Alabama for a three-day, two-night retreat in beautiful and mysterious Dismals Canyon. We will look forward to the beauties and wonders of nature as we explore the land both day and night.
