The Back Door Coffeehouse welcomes local band, The Squid and the Whale, Friday, September 5, at 7:30 pm. We will also have Open-Mic night for writers and poets. Please contact David Walker for details. Suggested donation is $10 (donations of any size are appreciated). Gourmet coffee, cokes, popcorn, and treats are offered free of charge. There will be a nursery worker on site.
Worship Studio meets September 14—Last month, we had 25 participate in our first Worship Studio, a monthly worship planning event for the entire congregation. Please join us at 6:00 pm on the second Sunday of every month in Kelley Hall. Contact Rusty if you plan to participate, and he will give you materials to help you prepare for participation, or just show up and join the conversation!

PrimeTime is here again. Mark your calendar for September 16, 11:30 in Kelley Hall. Kim Bradley, President of the City Council, will be the guest speaker. There are so many good things going on in Hattiesburg that we need to know about so “Let’s talk Hattiesburg.” Please make your reservation with your caller.
September is proving to be a busy month for UBC children. On September 5 children in grades 1-5 will journey to John and Gloria Green’s tree farm for a camp-out. On Saturday, September 6, our younger children and families will join us at the farm at 10:00 am for a day of fun activities and a cookout. On September 12 the children will participate in the Empty Bowls Initiative at Main Street Books. Then, on September 27 they will serve alongside the children of Ekklesia at Hope House.
