To see what’s coming up next on the children’s calendar, go to ubchm.org and find “Children”
under the “Ministries” tab. The link to our Children’s Spring Newsletter will give you details
for upcoming events through May and details for camp this summer. We have room for more
kids to join us as we travel to Passportkids camp.

PrimeTime is Tuesday, May 19. Forrest County Extension Agent Lee Taylor will present
Flower and Veggie Backyard Gardening. He will also share some of his funny experiences as

UBC Youth will travel to Dismals Canyon on May 22-24. In keeping with its pristine surroundings,
Dismals Canyon offers a quiet and unspoiled oasis in Alabama’s last secret hiding place, a
secluded wilderness filled with natural phenomena tucked deep within the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Sign up with Kat.

May 24 is Pentecost. It has become UBC tradition to wear red or orange, symbolizing the Spirit coming like fire at Pentecost. See the back page of the Communicator for information about ordering a red UBC t-shirt.

Our annual Memorial Day cookout is Wednesday, May 27, at 6:00 pm. Join us on the
back lawn for food, fun and fellowship. Bring salads, side dishes, or dessert to share.
