November 13-14: UBC kids campout (grades 1-6). UBC kids will leave Friday, November 13, and travel to Swallow Fork Lake in Poplarville for an overnight retreat. We will eat together, explore, play games, and discover as we hear stories of God and us. Be in the UBC parking lot at 5:00 pm Friday, November 13, ready to go. Join us for PrimeTime Tuesday, November 17. Our very own Durwood Blackwell will bring our program, “The Royal Family, Then and Now.” We will gather for lunch in Kelley Hall at 11:30 am. Reservations are required.
University Baptist Church will host the USM String Honors Recital, Thursday, November 19, at 6:00 pm in the sanctuary. A reception will follow in the UBC Gallery. Please join us for an evening of entertainment presented by The USM School of Music.
UBC kids will travel to Bedford Care Sunday, November 22, to share their story and breakfast with the residents there. This outing includes both Godly Play classes. We will meet in the fellowship hall at 9:00 am. Let Kat know if you can go.
Please join us for a Community Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 6:00 pm, Sunday, November 22.
Please note, the church office will close at noon on Wednesday, November 25, and will remain closed through Friday, November 27, in observance of Thanksgiving. We will return to our regular schedule Monday, November 30. Happy Thanksgiving!
As we prepare the sanctuary for worship during Advent and Christmas, you are invited to place poinsettias in honor or memory of someone. Please come by the church office to place your order. Cost is $10 each. Payment must be received in the office by November 23 so that we may finalize the order.
