Update: Kat arrives in Hattiesburg next week (week of August 25) and begins work on Monday, September 2.

We are excited to announce that Kathryn Elaine “Kat” Spangler was called as our new Associate Minister following her visit to UBC the weekend of July 13-14.
On Saturday, the congregation had an opportunity to meet Kat at a reception in Kelley Hall. Then on Sunday Kat lead the Children’s Sermon and Morning Prayer during our 11:00 worship service. Following the service, the congregation overwhelming affirmed the Search Committee’s recommendation to call Kat.
She has accepted the call and is due to arrive in Hattiesburg in late August. We are thrilled to have her on our ministerial staff and are excited about the good things that will flow from this partnership.
