Spotlight by Billie Hogan

Jan Karon’s new book, To Be Where You Are, made me instantly think of Jane Allison. Jane loved the Mitford Series and could hardly wait for her next book to be written. A copy has been placed in our library and it is dedicated to Jane. If you are not familiar with the Town of Mitford and Father Kavanagh, then you have missed out on a well written series that makes you laugh and pulls at the heart strings.

Royce Nation donated the following books to the library:

WHITEOUT by Ken Follett

A Reporter’s Life by Peter Jennings

Nothing Like It In The World by Stephen Ambrose

Becky Barnes donated:

The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd (Secret Lives of Bees)

A few years ago Betty Pearson donated a copy of Same Kind of Different As Me by Ron Hall and Denver Moore. This bestselling book has been made into a movie. The story is life changing for many. The movie was filmed in and around Jackson with an excellent cast. See the movie and read the book. You will see that it is more than just a movie.
