Library Spotlight by Marion Poirier

hhbcDreams do come true even 20+ years later. My daughter, Michelle Poirier Varner, is a published author. Her book was just published and is based on a story her dad made up and told her when she was a little girl. She wrote it over 20 years ago and it is now in print. It is a beautiful story of a six year old girl. I am one proud mother.

butterflyA poor young girl yearns for a beautiful party dress to wear to the ballet. A magical butterfly gives the girl his vibrant colors which turn her drab dress into one fit for a princess, while he is left with gray wings.

Although Michelle’s dad died when she was 12, he impressed upon her the lesson we should always look at the heart–not the outward appearance of others. 1 Samuel 16:7.
