Cade has served as our Youth Director for the last three years. It has been a delight to watch Cade grow as a minister and now we prepare to send him off to seminary with our prayers and support. In our October Business Meeting we voted to license Cade to ministry. Licensure is often a first step toward ministerial ordination and is a way of stating our support to Cade and expressing our confidence in his calling and ability to Truett Seminary. We also voted to send $1,000 a year for the next three years ($3,000 total) to a scholarship fund for Cade. Baylor University, home of Truett Seminary, will match these funds so that our $3,000 investment will be worth $6,000 in scholarship funds.

On Sunday, November 23, Cade will be preaching in morning worship and we will present him his license and commission him for this next step in his ministerial journey. Cade and Rani will remain with us through much of December before moving to Waco, Texas. George W. Truett Theological Seminary, Baylor University, is one of the theological schools supported by the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Last year, Dr. Dennis Tucker, Interim Dean at Truett, presented our Winter Bible Study. Dr. Todd Still, also of Truett, has also been a guest teacher here at UBC. Rusty received.
